Xylem Watermark Volunteers Participate in Little Miami River Kleen Sweep

In just two hours, volunteers removed 20 tires and several bags of garbage from the river. Activities like the Kleen Sweep are important for protecting the health of the local Little Miami River, and providing volunteers with the opportunity to get involved with local nonprofit partners, with whom they will continue to plan and execute volunteer events throughout the year.

Life is an incredible journey. Every day is a beautiful gift and an opportunity to make a positive difference. I learned this at an early age watching how hard my mom, Sharon, worked to make sure we had the best life possible. At times, she worked multiple jobs so that we had all that we needed. As I grew up, her work ethic helped to create and influence my own. She showed me that anything is possible, even in the midst of adversity. During the most difficult times, you can and will survive.

World Environment Center Expands U.S. Department of State “La Red de Innovacion e Impacto Innovators’ Program in Latin America

The U.S. Department of State has awarded the World Environment Center (WEC) and its partner, Le Groupe-conseil baastel ltée (Baastel), additional funding to grow innovative, sustainable local organizations in Latin America. The current program, known as La Red de Innovacion and Impacto (La Red), established in 2014, is a collection of 30 such innovative solutions from 11 nations across the region.
