Step by step, teenager Tim Maron’s vision of home for a homeless military veteran has become reality in a resurgent, small-town neighborhood once infested with drugs and crime. Today, that neighborhood is known for its clean streets and renovated homes, thanks to a local nonprofit, and most recently a modest tiny house project led by Maron, 17, a Boy Scout and budding young community leader in eastern Pennsylvania.

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) and Scholarship America announced they are accepting applications for the 2019 Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship and Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant Programs. In 2016, Wells Fargo committed $2 million over a four-year period to fund the programs and assist veterans and spouses of veterans with disabilities succeed in getting the education they need for careers they choose.

2018 was a big year for our customers and employees. As it comes to an end, we reflect on the missions, milestones and achievements.

As part of our commitment to our veterans and providing relief and finding solutions to end homelessness in Las Vegas, we continue to support Veterans Village and their housing project, The Village by Sands Cares. The new housing development will consist of ten fully transformed and furnished shipping container units for our veterans in downtown Las Vegas. Learn more about our support for this project.

The National Diversity Council and Southwest Airlines are proud to close out the 2018 year by announcing their new partnership.
