More than 3,000 middle school students a year will be introduced to careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), thanks to a collaboration between Qualcomm Incorporated and the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
In conjunction with National Giving Day, the Duke Energy Foundation announced it is investing nearly $235,000 in 11 Ohio and Kentucky environmental nonprofit organizations. “This is Millipore Sigma’s Curiosity Cube,” Rebecca Dowd, curiosity cube coordinator, said. “It’s a retrofitted shipping container that’s been turned into a mobile science lab […] to do hands on science experiments with students.”
