104 Companies Included in First Sector-Neutral Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index

Over 100 companies from ten sectors headquartered in 24 countries and regions joined the inaugural 2018 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI). Launched today, the reference index measures gender equality across internal company statistics, employee policies, external community support and engagement, and gender-conscious product offerings.

CITGO Lake Charles Employees Adopt Families and Donate Gifts During the Holidays in SWLA

CITGO Lake Charles Refinery employees contributed monetary donations and gifts to local families during the 2017 Christmas season through Southwest Louisiana charities and CITGO Partner in Education, E.K. Key Elementary School. Employees raised more than $8,000 to purchase holiday presents and household necessities for the families.

Marina Bay Sands Team Members Share: What Volunteerism Means to Me

When Mount Pinatubo erupted on the Luzon Island of the Philippines in 1991, hundreds of people lost their lives while thousands were displaced. It was the second largest eruption recorded in recent history. Marina Bay Sands’ Operational Evaluation and Analysis Manager, Charlene Ong, who was 10 years old at the time, followed her parents as they set up a donation drive to collect necessities for the victims in Manila and also volunteered at the medical and dental missions to help victims in remote villages in the Philippines. Through this experience, Ong realized she could positively impact the lives of others in her community and make a difference to those in need. With her parents as a source of inspiration, she embarked on her own volunteerism journey and has not looked back since.

Duke Energy's Commitment to Florida Communities Amplified by More than $5 Million of Grant Funding in 2017

Duke Energy is powering its communities with more than electricity. In 2017, the company invested more than $5 million in Sunshine State nonprofit organizations. The grants were awarded by the Duke Energy Foundation, which provides philanthropic support to address the needs vital to the health of its communities, with a focus on "K to Career" educational and workforce development initiatives, the environment and community impact.

Cream School in Camden Re-opens With New School Supplies From Subaru of America

After being closed for a week due to a burst pipe, the Riletta Twyne Cream Family School re-opened yesterday, January 17th, occupying a new building in an unused school on the other side of Camden. Staff used to fully equipped classrooms are making do with just the basics, and were excited to receive ready-made classroom supply kits courtesy of Subaru of America.
