Throughout March, the Chemours Women’s Network (CWN) led initiatives that engaged employees across the globe in activities designed to elevate diverse perspectives, strengthen connections, and support a more inclusive workplace and community.
At a time when racial divisions in the U.S. – and other parts of the world – seem to be more prevalent, HP is quietly taking pride in the work that it’s doing to bring about change. For a company the size of HP, one of the areas where it can have the biggest impact is in its hiring practices – from entry-level positions to the executive ranks.
In 2008, I began running as a way to stay fit and healthy. I never dreamed it would turn into so much more. After my husband passed away suddenly in 2010, I turned to running to find some peace of mind. It became my solace and offered me clarity. I can’t believe all the running goals I’ve accomplished; 2 full marathons, 8 half marathons and countless shorter races. Running has shaped my life not only physically but more importantly, mentally. I have a love and a passion for running that I want to share with others. They can take that feeling of accomplishment and pride from running and apply it in all areas of their lives.
Along with helping improve the quality of life in communities around the world, Caterpillar is committed to protecting and respecting human rights, as articulated in Our Values in Action. In 2015, we created a new Human Rights Policy to further strengthen our efforts in this area.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s annual Best Adoption-Friendly Workplace list recognizes U.S. companies that support families growing through adoption. The annual survey is judged first on financial assistance and second on paid time off given to employees after they adopt. While not all companies that applied make the list, we appreciate all organizations that offer adoption benefits and support families.
The first family of Kentucky is making their connection to adoption very well-known as they continue to ensure adoption benefits remain a priority for state employees. This year, the Commonwealth of Kentucky ranked second as an industry leader in the government category on the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s annual Best Adoption-Friendly Workplace list.
