Incubators, classrooms, and garages around the world house what could be the “next big thing.” But without an initial investment to fund the design — and the ability to scale — many of these products and solutions never become a reality.

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) today announced a total of $250,000 in donations for two local nonprofits to help revitalize Nashville neighborhoods through the Wells Fargo NeighborhoodLIFT® program.

LUNGevity Foundation announced the launch of Project ACTS – Increasing Adherence to CT Screening for lung cancer – a multi-stakeholder project funded by a grant from Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation through their Bridging Cancer Care™ initiative. Project ACTS will develop and evaluate tools to promote stronger adherence to lung cancer screening protocols so that patients can fully benefit from potentially life-saving CT screening.

This investment comes as Benevity achieves record client growth with its workplace giving, volunteering and community investment technology.

The Trustees of the Ray C. Anderson Foundation have granted an additional $2 million to The Ray over the next two years, to fund important research, pilot projects and emerging technologies with the potential to shape the transportation infrastructure of the future.

Duke Energy is powering its communities with more than electricity. In 2017, the company invested more than $5 million in Sunshine State nonprofit organizations. The grants were awarded by the Duke Energy Foundation, which provides philanthropic support to address the needs vital to the health of its communities, with a focus on "K to Career" educational and workforce development initiatives, the environment and community impact.
