The air we breathe can have a profound effect on our health, wellness and productivity. Air pollution is a growing concern across the world, and as a result it is more important than ever to ensure that our indoor air quality is optimized to support human health. We sat down with the project team that worked on the WELL Certified Haworth Kerry Center in Shanghai to discuss how they implemented design and construction strategies to address the WELL Air concept.

Looking for a change, Jameel Milligan, age 36, moved from Philadelphia to Las Vegas. He was certain he’d have no problem finding a job at one of the many resorts. However, with certain permits taking over 19 weeks to obtain for most casino workers, Milligan found himself in a situation he didn’t expect – homeless and unable to work.
What if we could look at a patient’s entire medical history, plus the data from their smartwatch, plus the records of 100 people most like them in the world to drive insights and predictions about their health? This idea of prescribing for one—known as Precision Medicine—would provide hindsight analysis, insight into existing conditions and predictive analysis on future conditions based on a patient’s current lifestyle. Precision medicine would allow doctors and medical staff to determine the best course of action and predict how to help patients down the road, or steer them away from potentially hazardous paths.
