Her fundraising initiatives of humble origins transformed into Team Hailey Hugs, a not-for-profit organization founded in 2016 to provide vital financial assistance to families in Maine who have a child with cancer. Since its founding, THH has provided more than $106,000 in emergency funding support to 144 families.

Artists and Entertainers’ Hurricane Harvey Relief Telethon to Support Habitat for Humanity’s Recovery Efforts

Habitat for Humanity’s response to Hurricane Harvey will get a boost as one of six beneficiaries of “Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief” telethon that will air nationally on Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 8-9 p.m. EDT. The telethon will feature some of the nation’s biggest stars coming together to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Funds raised for Habitat for Humanity will go directly to support the organization’s response to Harvey.

Hurricane Harvey made landfall a week ago but the damage it leaves behind will not dissipate so quickly. The storm is a one-in-1,000 year rain event, dumping 24.5 trillion gallons of rain and displacing countless individuals in its wake. As relief workers begin to grapple with the scale of the disaster, the cry for help is urgent and widespread. This call extends to companies who are stepping up by providing money, in-kind donations and solutions. Although the list of companies providing support is extensive, with major companies like Walmart, Verizon and Amazon pledging large cash donations, here, we have highlighted a few unique activations.

As Hurricane Harvey continues to bring catastrophic flooding and devastation to parts of Southeast Texas, Albertsons Companies is mobilizing its entire chain of 2,300+ stores across the U.S. to aid in the disaster relief effort.

MGM Resorts Foundation Accepting Nonprofit Grant Proposals for the 2017 – 2018 Community Grant Fund Program

Beginning September 5, The MGM Resorts Foundation will accept nonprofit grant applications through its online portal until October 13, 2017. Funding will be awarded to local nonprofit agencies that provide services focused on strengthening neighborhoods, strengthening children and providing strength in difficult times.

Republic Services Sponsors 4th Annual 'Childrenz Challenge' at Michigan International Speedway

Republic Services recently supported the fourth annual “Childrenz Challenge”, founded by Scott Vitale in 2013, held at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn, MI. The mud-filled 20 obstacle course was designed for children ages 4-13. This year’s course, with the help of Republic Services, featured a 36 foot-long water slide that sent participants into a puddle of mud to cap off the course.
