Arrow Electronics’ CSR and Sustainability Report Wins Design Award

Global technology-solutions provider Arrow Electronics was recently awarded top honors in the “Best CSR Report Photography and Design” category of the American Society of Professional Communicators’ annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) awards. Arrow won for its 2016 CSR and Sustainability Report.

In Search of the Most Community-Minded Companies in the Nation, Points of Light Launches Survey for the 2018 Civic 50

Washington, D.C. (Dec. 14, 2017) – This week, Points of Light opened the survey for the 2018 Civic 50, an annual initiative that recognizes the 50 most community-minded companies in the nation each year. Now in its sixth year, the Civic 50 provides a national standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and other resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.

CBRE Group, Inc. Named to Forbes JUST 100

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that it has been named one of America’s Most JUST Companies by Forbes and JUST Capital.

Forbes and JUST Capital evaluate U.S.-based public companies based on measures of corporate citizenship, including employee relations, quality of goods and services, client service, environmental impact, community support, diversity and ethical conduct. Nearly 1,000 companies are considered for inclusion in the JUST 100.

Domtar Named Finalist for Environmental Leadership Award

Domtar, a leading provider of a wide variety of wood-fiber products, is proud to be named a finalist for the Pulp and Paper International (PPI) 2017 Environmental Leadership Award for its groundbreaking work to increase responsible forestry. The company’s creation of the Four States Timberland Owners Association (FSTOA) by its Ashdown, Arkansas mill has resulted in an incredibly successful model that Domtar hopes can be replicated by the industry.

Ch. 2 WSB-TV and The Truth for Public Land Announce Stephen Causby as Atlanta’s 2017 Cox Conserves Hero

Channel 2 WSB-TV and The Trust for Public Land today named Stephen Causby as Atlanta’s 2017 Cox Conserves Hero. Park Pride, Causby’s nonprofit beneficiary, will receive $10,000. Causby was among the three finalists who were nominated by the public then chosen by local judging panels to compete in an online vote for the title of Atlanta’s Cox Conserves Hero.

Sappi North America Wins 2017 AF&PA Sustainability Award for Safety

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) recognized Sappi North America with the 2017 AF&PA Leadership in Sustainability Award for Safety for their Over Two Million Hours Worked Without Lost Time Injury project. This is the second year in a row AF&PA has honored Sappi for its sustainability advancements.

Finalists Named for Orlando’s 2017 Cox Conserves Heroes Program, Public Asked to Vote

WFTV Channel 9, and The Trust for Public Land are recognizing volunteers who are creating, preserving or enhancing shared outdoor spaces. Finalists for Orlando’s Cox Conserves Heroes program were announced today, and the public is being asked to vote for the winner now through November 20. To vote, visit CoxConservesHeroes.com and select the Orlando area. A total of $20,000 will be donated to local environmental nonprofits on behalf of the three finalists.
