Thomson named the puppy Skadi after the Nordic goddess of winter as a nod to the blizzard. Today, they are one of five teams attending the WBR school thanks to a scholarship from Subaru, a partner of the National Ski Patrol, a non-profit founded in 1938 that has more than 30,000 ski patrollers working to keeping people safe on mountains across the country.

Subaru Hosts Event to Help Pets in Need During 2019 Chicago Auto Show
Subaru of America, Inc. today announced it will be hosting a pet adoption event during the 2019 Chicago Auto Show through partnerships with two local animal shelters – ALIVE Rescue and Hopeful Tails Animal Rescue. Both 501(c)3 non-profit organizations are dedicated to improving the safety and well-being of Chicago’s homeless and at-risk animals.

Subaru Hosts Event to Help Pets Find Homes During 2019 Philadelphia Auto Show
Subaru of America, Inc. today announced it will be hosting a pet adoption event during the 2019 Philadelphia Auto Show through partnerships with two local animal shelters – the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and the Morris Animal Refuge (MAR). All activities at the Subaru booth will be complimentary, with donations and proceeds going to PAWS’s and MAR’s work in the greater Philadelphia and Delaware Valley area.

Subaru Helps Save the Lives of Pets During 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show
Subaru of America, Inc. today announced it will be hosting a pet adoption event during the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. Through a partnership with Best Friends Animal Society’s No Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) initiative, the adoption event is aimed at finding pets great homes in the Los Angeles (LA) community. The first-of-its-kind event will be held inside the Los Angeles Convention Center at the Subaru exhibit, located in the West Hall, Booth 102, where attendees will have the opportunity to adopt and take home a new dog.

Subaru Fulfills Love Promise to Oregon Humane Society With Largest Corporate Donation Received in 2018
Subaru of America, Inc. today announced the donation of nearly $57,000 to the Oregon Humane Society (OHS) as a part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative to help improve the safety and wellbeing of animals in local Oregon communities. The gift marks the single largest corporate donation received by OHS in 2018 and is the result of the pets-focused initiative of the automaker’s Love Promise philanthropic platform.

Subaru Ascent Production Begins at Subaru of Indiana Automotive
Official production of the Subaru Ascent, a new three-row SUV that will seat up to eight passengers, began at Subaru’s Lafayette, Indiana plant yesterday. To mark the occasion, members of the famous Subaru canine family, The Barkleys, visited SIA to welcome the family vehicle to the Subaru line-up. In addition, SIA presented $8,000 in grants to four local nonprofit organizations focused on animal welfare: Almost Home Humane Society, Loving Heart Animal Shelter, Natalie’s Second Chance No-Kill Dog Shelter and North Central Indiana Spay & Neuter.
