Rochdale Village Earns $1M in Energy Efficiency Rebates
Rochdale Village in Jamaica Queens, the second largest housing cooperative in the world, with 120-acres including 20 apartment buildings, a daycare center, three schools, a public library system, two shopping malls, two banks and a host of small businesses, is receiving more than $1 million in National Grid energy efficiency rebates for their commitment to greening the local community.

In June 2017 we launched our first ever System Needs and Product Strategy (SNAPS). Its aim was to identify how the SO could work better with industry to provide the right mix of balancing services that we will need in future. The changes we are making will ultimately make it easier for all parties to sell balancing services to the System Operator, delivering more efficient markets and minimising costs to consumers.

Demand users like suppliers, or directly connected users such as factories and steelworks, pay to consume power.
