The CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) in the EU reforms and significantly expands the reporting obligations of companies. It extends the reporting requirements and makes it compulsory for big to small and medium-sized enterprises based on a harmonized reporting.

The rollback of America’s environmental regulations and international commitments has galvanized companies around the world to extend or redouble their efforts, according to a new report. “State of Green Business 2018,” published by GreenBiz Group in association with Trucost, part of S&P Dow Jones Indices, is the 11th annual assessment of the progress by companies around the world in addressing their energy, waste, water, greenhouse gas and other impacts, and in increasing their sustainability investments, transparency and other leadership activities.

At the CDP Hong Kong and South East Asia awards, CLP was named the best performing Hong Kong company with a score of A- for its water programmes in 2017. It was ranked top of the Hong Kong-based or listed companies which participated in the CDP survey. The assessment was based on the climate change, water and forest-related data received from 1,073 of the world’s largest companies.
