Barco started their Hats Off program several years ago and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every Wendy’s crew hat is donated to the DTFA. Ten years later, she accepted an internship at NASA where she was able to work on the Mars Mission. Her idea: a hybrid spacecraft that once deployed would break off into a satellite and land rover.
