The irony is that many of those who are undernourished spend their days growing food for others. Smallholder farmers, who cultivate less than 5 acres of land, constitute a large portion of the world’s poor living on less than $2 a day, according to World Bank estimates.
Tetra Tech collected and analyzed data for a recent Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) report analyzing food waste trends in urban areas of the United States to identify ways to reduce the amount of food that ends up in landfills.

Wendy’s also presented their Quality Assurance award to honor a supplier who consistently maintains the highest standards of food quality and product safety. Of hundreds of suppliers and distributors, these twelve earned the QSCC Golden Link awards for their performance over the past two years.
