Calling All K-12 Teachers: Voya Financial Offering $240,000 in Grants to Help Fund Innovative Programs

In an era where teaching ideas are plentiful, but money is short, Voya Financial, Inc. wants K-12 educators across the country to know there is still time to apply for a Voya Unsung Heroes® grant for the 2018 calendar year. Any eligible educator with an innovative program idea is invited to apply by visiting the Unsung Heroes website at Voya.com/UnsungHeroes and submitting their information online by April 30, 2018.

T. Rowe Price’s tenth annual Parents, Kids & Money Survey revealed that receiving financial education in school can have a positive impact on financial behaviors years later. The survey sampled 1,000 young adults and found that those who received some financial education in school (59%) are more likely to have good saving habits compared with those who did not receive any financial education in school (41%).
