Sustainable Georgia: Driving with the Sun
I was thrilled to see one of my great sci-fi dreams come true in West Point when Georgia unveiled its first solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging station. We’ve been rewarded by the convergence of public, private, local and global efforts.
Why Your Company Should Put a Price on Carbon
Yesterday at a special event on the margins of COP21, Heads of State put the spotlight on carbon pricing as a necessary and effective measure to tackle the climate change challenge. Oregon Student Dresses the Part
Although he’s only in kindergarten, Glen already knows that he wants to be a garbage man when he grows up. Republic Services in Albany, Oregon helped Glen look the part for his recent Career Day event at school. A Republic employee took the time to sew the company logo onto the smallest vest we could find, and Glenn added to the look with his own gloves and work boots. The look on his face made everyone’s day and now all are eager to receive his employment application in about 12 years! Republic is proud that our drivers serve as such meaningful role models in the community.
