Realizing both land and sea are adversely affected by cigarette waste, Keep America Beautiful affiliate Keep Golden Isles Beautiful (KGIB) utilized a third Cigarette Litter Prevention Program grant to continue a community-wide comprehensive cigarette litter prevention program, “This is Litter Too.”
Fifteen graduating seniors from five area high schools earned scholarships from CITGO Petroleum Corporation to help them pursue higher degrees in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), thanks to a partnership between CITGO and the Alief Independent School District (ISD). Support from CITGO for Alief ISD students is part of the larger CITGO STEM Scholarship program, which provides funds for high-achieving students in public schools across the Houston area.

Currently, 51% of the directors hired to work on FX and FXX shows during the 2016-2017 season are women or people of color.
