Domtar Sustainability: Sourcing Raw Materials
Each year, about two-thirds of our revenue is spent on materials and services needed to make our products. Whenever possible, we source from local suppliers near our facilities. This helps us shorten our supply chain and reduce risk. Proximity allows us to know our suppliers and ensure they produce our materials and render services responsibly, in addition to strengthening the local economy.
Domtar Sustainability: Creating Value for Our Communities
Domtar has been a centerpiece in some of our communities for more than a century. We depend on them, and they depend on us. For every 100 jobs in our facilities, an additional 325 jobs are created.* We have focused on repurposing our assets and executing our growth strategy to keep our facilities viable for the long term.
JetBlue Leverages Assets to Create Long-Term Hurricane Relief
It’s been over three weeks since Hurricane Maria made landfall, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz estimates that some areas will remain without power for four to six months. As with many natural disasters, relief efforts are concentrated on the first few weeks after the disaster, but one company has prepped a long-term relief plan to ensure the victims of Hurricane Maria are not left abandoned in the weeks – and months – to come.

AT&T and Girls Scouts Teach Kids the Power of Code
I loved being a Brownie. My mom was our troop leader, and it was fun to sing “Make new friends but keep the old” in a round. I felt proud earning badges and wearing my uniform, and liked competing with the other girls in my troop on who could sell the most Girl Scout cookies. I now realize that these early lessons in setting goals, learning new skills and being part of a team helped prepare me for adulthood.
