Joanne Jaxtimer to be Honored by The Home for Little Wanderers at Voices & Visions 2014

In her role as Regional Executive for BNY Mellon in New England, Jaxtimer directs charitable giving, sponsorship and community partnership programs. She is also responsible for facilitating new business opportunities and directing local government relations activities. Internally, her role includes building a corporate culture that promotes employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and reinforces BNY Mellon as an employer of choice in the region.

Jaxtimer is a past Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Boston Municipal Research Bureau, and also serves on the boards of A Better City, Dress for Success Boston, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, New England Council, and Special Olympics Massachusetts. In addition she serves on the Tufts Medical Center Board of Governors. Jaxtimer is active in a variety of community organizations including Best Buddies, the Greater Boston Food Bank, PFLAG and the YWCA, which selected her to join the Academy of Women Achievers Class of 2001.  She graduated from Newton College of the Sacred Heart with a B. A. in Psychology.
