Mohawk is a proud partner of Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading nonprofit breast cancer organization. Since 2001, Mohawk has contributed more than $6.3 million to Susan G. Komen through corporate donation programs that ultimately serve millions of fighters in more than 30 countries through research, treatment assistance, helplines and a variety of other lifesaving and life-impacting resources. Mohawk continues to create residential and commercial floor coverings that not only support healthier homes, offices, patient rooms and beyond, but also give back more to society than they take as part of the company’s commitment to positive social impact and helping find a cure.

Each year, Mohawk meets inspiring participants at Susan G. Komen 3-Day events across the United States. Hear the stories and learn more about their journeys in this special video feature.

Through Mohawk’s Cushion the Fight program as part of Decorate for the Cure, Mohawk provides SmartCushion pads to comfort walkers and crew members participating in the 3-Day series. This year, Mohawk donated more than 7,000 pads in total for all seven events. The flooring manufacturer is proud to partner with Susan G. Komen in the fight and support their goal to reduce U.S. breast cancer deaths by 50% by 2026. Since 2001, Mohawk Industries corporate donation programs have collectively contributed more than $5.6 million to Susan G. Komen on behalf of customers and employees.

Durkan Rolls Out the Pink Carpet for Susan G. Komen with Specify for a Cure
In addition to love, purity and longevity, our Camélia Rose carpet collection engenders hope. We partnered for this collection with Virginia Langley, a premier fashion textile designer who has done work for luxury homes and hotels around the world. She designed Camélia Rose in tribute to the countless courageous women who have battled breast cancer, and we designated her new collection to help support Susan G. Komen’s fight against breast cancer.

Mohawk Industries Goes Pink for Breast Cancer at Corporate HQ in Georgia
Employees at Mohawk Industries recently took part in their company-wide Pink Out to rally in support of Susan G. Komen. The annual event is part of the flooring manufacturer’s annual observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and took place at the corporate headquarters in Calhoun, Ga. Each year, employees come together to learn more about the company’s corporate partnership with the organization and receive updates on the latest initiatives and monetary amounts donated back to Susan G. Komen since 2001.

Durkan’s Camélia Rose Raises Awareness, Funds to Fight Breast Cancer through Specify for a Cure Program
For centuries, both the rose and the camélia flower have been a symbol of longevity and purity — with the rose especially symbolic of love and passion. In the Victorian Era, when pink and red camélias were sent to someone, it meant that the recipient was the “flame” in the heart of the sender. The inspiration for Durkan’s new Camélia Rose carpet collection is helping bring awareness to breast cancer while also raising funds for research, not just in October but year-round.

For Third Consecutive Year, Mohawk Cushions the Fight in All Seven Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walks to Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer
Mohawk continues its fight against breast cancer with its support of the Susan G. Komen® 3-Day Walk by donating more than 7,000 SmartCushion pads to comfort this year’s walkers and crew members. The company also hosts the “Mohawk Mile,” a bright pink carpeted footpath to the finish line filled with Mohawk residential and commercial team members, retail partners and customers urging walkers on to success.

Mohawk became involved with the 3-Day Walk in 2015, when it provided 800 pieces of soft, durable and eco-friendly SmartCushion to place under the sleeping bags of weary walkers and crew in the Philadelphia walk. Today Mohawk supports the three-day, 60-mile walk in all seven participating cities.
