We are thrilled to welcome Kathleen LaValle, President and CEO of Dallas CASA to Pro Bono Perspectives for a special #GivingTuesday episode. Dallas CASA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to recruiting, training and supervising community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children under the protective care of the state, so they will have safe, permanent homes where they can thrive.

Getting SMEs to participate in sustainability reporting is a challenge. The Global Reporting Initiative and the Swiss government embarked on an experiment to addresses this challenge in Ghana. By helping SMEs in Ghana to report for the first time, the experience showed that sustainability reporting can lead to clear business benefits for smaller companies in developing countries.

Xylem is proud to announce that its employees volunteered over 10,000 hours across the globe during Xylem Watermark’s Annual October Global Month of Service. Through water source clean-ups, restoration projects, educational water monitoring activities, beach and park clean-ups, community building initiatives, and more, Xylem employee volunteers displayed their true commitment to addressing the global water crisis and protecting safe water resources for communities around the world. With participation from over 100 sites across 34 countries, and over 200 events held worldwide during the month of October, Xylem commends its employees and their dedication to Xylem Watermark’s mission, which led to the biggest Global Month of Service yet.
