Channel 2 WSB-TV and The Trust for Public Land today named Stephen Causby as Atlanta’s 2017 Cox Conserves Hero. Park Pride, Causby’s nonprofit beneficiary, will receive $10,000. Causby was among the three finalists who were nominated by the public then chosen by local judging panels to compete in an online vote for the title of Atlanta’s Cox Conserves Hero.
The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) recognized Sappi North America with the 2017 AF&PA Leadership in Sustainability Award for Safety for their Over Two Million Hours Worked Without Lost Time Injury project. This is the second year in a row AF&PA has honored Sappi for its sustainability advancements.

Finalists for Orlando’s Cox Conserves Heroes program were announced today, and the public is being asked to vote for the winner now through November 20. Launched in 2007 by Chairman Jim Kennedy, Cox Conserves is Cox Enterprises’ national sustainability program. It focuses on reducing waste, energy consumption and conserving water while encouraging employees and their families to engage in eco-friendly practices.
