The Wendy's Company today announced the expansion of its Supplier Code of Conduct which now includes all U.S. and Canadian contracts managed by Quality Supply Chain Cooperative (QSCC) and suppliers that provide a significant stream of goods or services to The Wendy’s Company on an annual basis. The Code also includes new requirements for certain suppliers of whole, fresh produce, and identifies future aspirations to encourage continuous improvement in a meaningful way.
Fair Trade USA, the leading third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in North America, and the Natural Marketing Institute (NMI), an international consulting and research firm specializing in health and sustainability, today release new data indicating that sixty-seven percent of consumers now recognize the Fair Trade Certified™ seal, an eight-percent increase over 2015.

The short film introduces Khan as a middle-class sweetshop owner who attributes his business success to his daughters’ talents. His shop is uniquely named “Gurdeep Singh & Daughters”, rather than the prevalent “— & Sons.”
HSBC recently pledged to cut ties with companies connected to deforestation for palm oil in major production zones. The decision followed a report from Greenpeace that highlighted HSBC’s connection with palm oil companies involved in the destruction of rainforests.
Since 2015, the Carlsberg Group has delivered reductions of 6% in energy consumption (kWh/hl), 14% in CO2 emissions (kg CO2/hl) and 6% in water consumption (hl/hl). Meanwhile, 17% of the Group’s energy consumption now comes from renewable sources such as biomass, solar power and certificates with guarantees of origin. The Group has also inaugurated a solar panel installation at its facility in Dali, China, that is the fourth largest brewery installation of its kind in the world.
