Dallas had been in foster care for five years, and joined her forever family at age 11. Soon after, The Harris family opened their home to another teen, Paula, who was in and out of foster care for nine years. She was adopted at age 14. Paula and Dallas are thriving with their forever family, and the Harris family continues to foster teens!

As one of Duke Energy’s Water Resources Fund recipients, the Hornet’s Nest Council brought the Wonders of Water and Wildlife (WoWW) program to its campus in Iredell County, which serves the surrounding eight counties.
