Curiosity Cube Comes to the Blanchard School
By Matt Mallio
There are plenty of science, technology, engineering, and math, or STEM fields out there and Millipore Sigma, a life-sciences company, wants to share some of the field’s newest technologies with students to generate interest.
So, according to Rebecca Dowd, the Curiosity Cube Coordinator, the company created the Curiosity Cube -- a former shipping container, retrofitted and converted into a mobile science lab. It tours the country, stopping in at schools all over the US. Dowd said the Curiosity Cube program grew out of the company’s Curiosity Labs program, where scientists went into the classroom to a series of hands on experiments with the kids.
