Each year, in our annual sustainability report, we look forward to reporting our progress against goals we set to ensure that Sappi North America continues as a thriving, sustainable, re-investable company. We’re committed to keeping you informed on how we’re doing in terms of employee training and safety, key environmental metrics and, of course, financial returns.

Sappi North America, a leading producer and supplier of diversified paper and packaging products, has announced the release of its 2015 Sustainability Report. The report showcases Sappi’s industry leading sustainability performance.

The GRI Due Process Oversight Committee (DPOC) ensures that the standard-setting activities of the GRI Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB) are conducted in accordance with its due process.

The Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) was established in 2010 to tackle the childhood obesity crisis by transforming the marketplace and our communities. PHA works with the private sector to make healthier choices easier for busy parents and families. The group ensures that commitments made are commitments kept, by working with unbiased third parties to monitor and publicly report on the progress its partners are making.

Walmart today released its ninth annual Global Responsibility Report, entitled “Using Our Strengths to Help Others,” highlighting the company’s progress and milestones during fiscal year 2016 in social and environmental responsibility. The report also outlines Walmart’s “whole systems” approach to continue to advance global responsibility in the key areas of opportunity, sustainability, and local communities.

In the recent Business Roundtable report, “Create, Grow, Sustain: People and Technology at Work,” CSX Chairman and CEO Michael Ward describes how the company has focused on innovative technology and systems, environmental efficiency, and community involvement in order to continue to drive sustainable business results for the long term.

As part of a global study, business leaders discussed actions being taken to help mitigate #ClimateChange. More than 80 percent of these companies have committed to reducing emissions. Many, including Ingersoll Rand, have implemented wide-ranging activities to reduce the carbon footprint of their operations and product offerings.
