Water is a valuable natural resource and the primary element in many of Kimberly-Clark’s manufacturing processes. This World Water Day the company is releasing an inside look at the implementation of WaterLOUPE at one of its twelve mills located in high water-stressed areas. WaterLOUPE is a water scarcity dashboard developed by Kimberly-Clark and Dutch research institute Deltares that provides critical data to inform local communities on water risk, availability and the use of water in scale and over time.

As part of Tyson Foods’ (NYSE: TSN) ongoing efforts to address food insecurity in its communities, the company announced today $1.8 million in new hunger relief grants. Twenty Feeding America® member food banks and other community hunger relief agencies in 14 states were awarded grants to enhance access to nutritious food and combat hunger. The investments represent approximately five million pounds of food or the equivalent of 20 million servings

While lineworker Ariel Martin and her crew installed a light pole at a home in Asheville, N.C., fourth-grader Mia Eudy asked a question Martin, as one of the few female lineworkers, has been asked many times. Why did you choose this job? Martin said she loved the idea of being outside, working with her hands and learning new skills. And when the power is out, she gets to help turn it back on. “That makes you feel good,” she said, “kind of like a hero.”
