MCLEAN, VA, Sept. 24, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Mars, Incorporated announced today that, for the second year running, it has been recognized by global business and engineering students as one of The World’s Most Attractive Employers. The 2014 list compiled by Universum based on views of more than 210,000 students from the world’s leading universities, sees Mars, Incorporated taking 52nd and 59th place respectively.

To be featured in the list, employers had to be in the top 90% of the Universum Ideal Employer Ranking, which identifies companies that are the most popular to work for, in at least 6 of the 12 markets. This acknowledgement recognizes Mars’ open, collaborative and fun workplaces and the emphasis the business puts on on-going growth and development for its Associates to enjoy long, rewarding careers. The Mars University, for example, sees more than 40 percent of Associates participate in learning programs worldwide – equivalent to 400,000 learning hours every year.

“We are proud to be recognized on the World’s Most Attractive Employers list for the second year in row, which is a real testament to our culture and the career growth opportunities for Associates,” said Aileen Richards, Executive Vice President, People and Organization and Mars Global Services, Mars Incorporated. “As a private, family-owned business, Associates have more freedom to think long term, grow their careers across various businesses and geographies and make a difference in the communities where we operate. Not to mention, having fun working in a growing business that is home to many iconic brands from M&M’S to PEDIGREE, enjoying free candy and bringing your dog to work.”
