Chevron Partners with Catalyst to Advance Gender Equality

Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) announced a $5 million grant to Catalyst, a global nonprofit advancing workplace gender equality, in support of expanding the organization’s Men Advocating Real Change (MARC) program, which Chevron adopted in 2016. MARC is focused on engaging and empowering male executives and leaders to consistently model inclusive behaviors, influence more equitable talent management systems and processes, and build effective partnerships across gender.

Arrow Electronics Sponsors New Nonprofit Advancing Women in Electronics Industry

Arrow Electronics is a founding sponsor of Women in Electronics, a new nonprofit created to support women in the electronics industry. The organization expands leadership skills, accelerates personal and professional development and builds strategic networks to advance inclusion among electronics employers. Women in Electronics hosts national conferences, regional events and online networking opportunities for more than 200 members and fosters leadership development through virtual resource sharing and discussion groups.

Pepsico Funded Job Resource Center for Homeless Women Officially Opens at South Bronx Shelter

Last week, PepsiCo employees hosted a workshop for women living in Win’s (formerly Women in Need) South Bronx shelter to help them with resume writing, interviewing and other job search skills. The workshop was held in a new job resource center at the site, which was funded by the PepsiCo Foundation. The Foundation’s grant enabled Win to purchase new computers, hire job specialists and create a dedicated space for residents to focus on finding employment.

Broadening Financial Inclusion Borders in Bangladesh

According to Women’s World Banking, “Women in Bangladesh have the highest-ever rates of literacy and employment, and the country’s economy is growing. Financial inclusion now stands at more than 50 percent, nearly doubling in the past few years. But the financial inclusion gender gap is growing rapidly too, with fewer than half of women accessing or using formal financial services.”
