A Cross-Sector Approach to Closing the Gender Gap

Anyone who works in the nonprofit sector knows that women make up a significant part of the its workforce and leadership – until you get to the top. Women currently account for 43 percent of the board seats among all nonprofits but only 33 percent of those seats at large nonprofits, defined as $25 million or greater in annual income. At the staff level, this gap increases further -- women make up 45 percent of nonprofit CEOs but only 21 percent at large nonprofits, and they are compensated at 66% of their male CEO counterparts.

Ecolab Provided In-Kind Product Donations Worth More Than $2.3 Million in 2015 to Aid Global Disaster Relief

During 2015, Ecolab provided in-kind donations worth more than $2.3 million to support disaster relief efforts. Working in partnership with non-profit organizations, the company quickly gathered needed cleaning, sanitizing and public health products for distribution to areas impacted by natural disasters.

21CF and National Geographic Channel Celebrate International Women's Day by Encouraging Viewers to Stand #withMalala

On February 18, 21st Century Fox and the National Geographic Channel launched a new social media campaign to drive support and awareness for girls' education. The initiative extends through March 10, giving viewers the chance to celebrate this year's International Women's Day by taking part in the campaign and contributing to the education of the more than 60 million young women who are out of school around the world. In celebration of National Geographic Channel's global broadcast premiere of "He Named Me Malala" on February 29, the campaign asks viewers to tweet with the hashtag #withMalala or change their Facebook profile to a special campaign video. For every post, 21CF will donate $1 to the Malala Fund, a nonprofit that empowers girls globally through education, up to $50,000.

American Red Cross Receives New Emergency Response Vehicle Donation from Astellas

The American Red Cross today recognized Astellas for its gift of a first-of-its-kind energy efficient emergency response vehicle, which is a high tech truck enabling the Red Cross to quickly provide food and supplies to people affected by disasters.
