The Arbor Day Foundation’s Texas Community Tree Recovery Campaign Distributes Free Trees to Local Texas Residents Affected by Hurricane Harvey

The Arbor Day Foundation’s Texas Tree Recovery Campaign – a partnership between the Arbor Day Foundation, Texas Roadhouse and FedEx will distribute 1,000 new trees this year to homeowners in Port Aransas, Texas at the Old Town Festival on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

Southwest Michigan — more specifically the cities of Benton Harbor and St. Joseph — houses Whirlpool Corporation’s global and North American headquarters, as well as several technical, research and customer service facilities. The area is also the focus of the first episode of the “Places that Matter” photojournalism project launched this fall from the corporate newsroom at Whirlpool Corporation.

Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s iconic community improvement nonprofit organization, today announced the distribution of 19 grants totaling $100,000 from The UPS Foundation for the 2018 Keep America Beautiful/UPS Community Tree and Recovery Tree Planting Grants program. The grant recipients’ projects will result in more than 1,200 trees being planted in support of local tree-planting initiatives.
