The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International Names Dr. Jacquelyn Campbell as its 2015 Episteme Award Recipient

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) today named Jacquelyn Campbell, PhD, RN, FAAN, the 2015 recipient of the STTI Episteme Award supported by The Baxter International Foundation. Campbell is the Anna D. Wolf Chair and Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. As Episteme Laureate, Campbell will be the keynote speaker at STTI’s 43rd Biennial Convention in Las Vegas, Nev., November 7-11, 2015, where she will be presented with the $15,000 award.

Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world’s largest hotel companies, is working with longtime charitable partner, Rebuilding Together, a leading national nonprofit in safe and healthy housing, to engage employees in an annual volunteer project. This Friday, September 18, volunteers from Choice Hotels will join Rebuilding Together Montgomery County, to provide critical repairs and renovations at Dring’s Reach, an affordable housing complex owned and operated by the Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP), located in Silver Spring, MD.

Procter & Gamble Uses Cleaning Technology To Deliver 15 Billion Liters Of Clean Drinking Water By 2020

Procter and Gamble (P&G) announced today that its Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program (CSDW) has set a goal of 15 billion liters of clean drinking water to be delivered by 2020 to reduce illness caused by contaminated water and help save lives in developing countries. Since the program started more than a decade ago, P&G and its network of global partners have delivered nine billion liters of clean water to those in need.

Local CITGO Retailer Food Bag and CITGO Petroleum Corporation continued fueling good in Tampa, Fla. by donating $500 in CITGO gift cards to Operation Helping Hand, an organization providing assistance and support for families of active duty wounded and injured military. The gift cards will allow families to travel to visit their loved ones while they are being treated in Tampa.
