Ailes Apprentice Program Promotes Diversity in Journalism, Celebrates 11th Graduating Class

In New York City on Thursday, November 19, Fox News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes honored the newest group of fellows from the Ailes Apprentice Program, a professional development initiative Ailes founded in 2003 for television journalists from diverse backgrounds. The ceremony, hosted by Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner, celebrated the eleventh graduating class, each of whom completed an immersive 12-month fellowship at Fox News and its partners.

Fox Pride Group Celebrates First Anniversary, Volunteers for LGBT Causes

On Thursday, October 15, the Fox Pride LGBT-Straight Alliance commemorated its first anniversary with an outdoor event in honor of Spirit Day, GLAAD's yearly campaign to support LGBT youth and speak out against bullying. The event, held at the Fox Studios Lot in Los Angeles and at the Fox International Channels office in Hong Kong, brought together Fox Pride members and supporters from across 21st Century Fox businesses to celebrate the company's LGBT community. Fox Pride was formed in 2014 to cultivate a passion for all types of diversity in order to advocate for and celebrate advances in the fight for equality.

In the three years leading to the ongoing Paris climate negotiations, the world has witnessed a truly big pivot. Back in 2012, business as usual global warming pollution was set to heat the world up 8 degrees F by century’s end. Neither of the two biggest polluters, the US or China, had put serious policies in place to address the crisis. But now, if the commitments being made here in Paris are carried through, that 8 degree number will be cut to 6 degrees F.
