To date, 2017 has been a roller coaster ride for companies dedicated to commitment to corporate social responsibility. Membership data compiled this summer by CECP – the CEO Force for Good shows that despite a dip in public advocacy for progressive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues immediately following the election of President Donald Trump, the movement of “brands taking stands” has dramatically resurged.

Artists and Entertainers’ Hurricane Harvey Relief Telethon to Support Habitat for Humanity’s Recovery Efforts

Habitat for Humanity’s response to Hurricane Harvey will get a boost as one of six beneficiaries of “Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief” telethon that will air nationally on Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 8-9 p.m. EDT. The telethon will feature some of the nation’s biggest stars coming together to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Funds raised for Habitat for Humanity will go directly to support the organization’s response to Harvey.

Mohawk Makes the Finish Line at Ironman® 70.3® World Championship

Mohawk will not just be providing the carpet. Employees have volunteered to spend a portion of their weekend to staff one of the aid stations along the race course. There they will distribute water and nutrition while cheering on athletes as they take on a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile run.

Republic Services Sponsors 4th Annual 'Childrenz Challenge' at Michigan International Speedway

Republic Services recently supported the fourth annual “Childrenz Challenge”, founded by Scott Vitale in 2013, held at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn, MI. The mud-filled 20 obstacle course was designed for children ages 4-13. This year’s course, with the help of Republic Services, featured a 36 foot-long water slide that sent participants into a puddle of mud to cap off the course.
