When Priya first enrolled in a vocational training program at her local Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in northern India’s Haryana state, the prospect of a career in technology felt like a future that belonged to someone else.

Bypassing work plans and coffee runs, the Mini-Internship is a shortcut to one of the key benefits of a traditional program – access to industry leaders. Hosted at Samsung 837, a digital playground in the heart of the Meatpacking District, the series will feature speakers like Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee, Iron Chef David Burke and NBC’s Today show host Billy Bush.
Fox opened its doors to seven of the university's top female graduate students on July 13 as part of an exchange organized by Lee and the Women's Empowerment programs at the U.S. Department of State. The visit, which included a full tour of the studio lot and its operations, gave the students an up close and personal look at the American entertainment industry.
Point Foundation (Point), the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit, is committed to helping young people acquire leadership skills. Thanks to the generosity of corporate supporters and workplace giving, this year Point is able to bring its current 84 scholarship recipients and many of its 350 alumni together for leadership training events around the country, including a National Leadership Conference.
