Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC), NeighborWorks® America and Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) of Baltimore today announced the NeighborhoodLIFT® program will expand for Baltimore with a $6 million commitment by Wells Fargo to boost local homeownership. The 2019 Baltimore NeighborhoodLIFT program follows the 2012 CityLIFT program for Baltimore that included a $5.8 million investment from Wells Fargo and created 386 homeowners.
JetBlue today announced plans to expand its JetBlue Scholars program to include pathways for crewmembers to earn master’s degrees at discounted and affordable rates. The current program provides access to online courses and personalized coaching for crewmembers pursuing undergraduate degrees from Thomas Edison State University, with JetBlue covering most of the costs. The addition of the Master’s Pathways and new partnerships will allow crewmembers to pursue master’s degrees through five regionally accredited institutions including City University of New York School of Professional Studies, Louisiana State University Shreveport, Thomas Edison State University, University of Maryland University College and Western Governors University.

The path from Amgen Scholars to working at a major pharmaceutical company has been anything but linear for Jan Botthof. Between his undergraduate work, PhD program, and now as a trainee in the International Future Leadership Program for Product Supply at Bayer, Botthof has taken time to try different roles and figure out the best balance of science in his career. Through his journey, Botthof has learned that many career options are available to those with science skills that go beyond traditional benchwork.
