After completing his internship in Global Medical Information and Medical Review at Alexion, Adam returned to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science University to complete his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Duke Energy to Build Solar Power Plant at Discovery Park District Near Purdue University

Duke Energy is building a 1.6-megawatt solar power plant in the Discovery Park District near Purdue University. “We’ll use the clean, renewable energy from this solar plant for our Indiana customers,” said Stan Pinegar, Duke Energy state president for Indiana. “Discovery Park at Purdue is a hub for innovation in science, technology and engineering, so building this plant there is a natural fit.”

Smithfield Foods Contributes $60,000 to Bladen County Read and Feed Program

The Smithfield Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Smithfield Foods, Inc., announced today a donation of $60,000 to Bladen County Schools Foundation to fund the purchase of a new mobile van for the district’s “Read and Feed” program. The new mobile unit will deliver to more than 4,000 students throughout Bladen County to ensure they have access to free meals and literacy programs that would otherwise be unavailable during summer months.
