Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) has been ranked No. 1 among Health Care Providers for its corporate citizenship, according to Forbes and JUST Capital in their new “JUST 100.” The JUST 100 ranks publicly traded companies in the U.S. based on how they perform against the American public’s definition of just corporate behavior.

Each year, Corporate Responsibility Magazine (CR Magazine) announces a list of 100 companies with standout corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance. Humana is No. 69 on the 2018 Best Corporate Citizens list for its efforts, including health and well-being programs, environmental sustainability and a commitment to ethics and governance.

For the fifth straight year, Humana has been recognized for corporate citizenship efforts by one of the nation’s leading sustainable-investing companies, RobecoSAM, and has been included in the 2018 RobecoSAM Sustainability Yearbook.

Humana has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. This is the sixth year in a row that Humana has achieved a perfect score.

Humana was recently named a Top 10 Gold-level Military Friendly ® Employer by Victory Media. The 2018 list of Military Friendly Employers distinguishes elite companies who boast the strongest job opportunities, hiring practices and retention programs for transitioning service members seeking civilian employment. Humana has ranked No. 2 in its industry – the company’s highest-ever ranking – in Fortune magazine’s 2018 listing of the World’s Best and Most Admired Companies. Humana was No. 3 last year in the category of Health Care: Insurance and Managed Care.
