Decarbonization of Agriculture

Climate change has challenged all of us to look at the way we use our resources. And at Bayer, it’s inspired us to unite with farmers to reimagine how we can best use agriculture itself as a resource. After all, agriculture offers a path to decarbonization that other industries don’t. Through innovative technologies and the establishment of a carbon market that rewards growers who adopt climate-friendly practices, we are working to reduce field greenhouse gas emissions and the environmental impact of crop protection by 30 percent within the decade.
