AT&T: Possibilities

For the past several months, AT&T has been collaborating with Imagination Foundation on our second-annual Inventor’s Challenge – bringing together young people from around the world to create innovative, imaginative and often totally viable solutions that solve problems in their schools and communities.

At AT&T, more than 84,200 women work to transform the way we connect with our world. These women are executives, engineers, marketers, sales people, financial professionals, installation technician and attorneys. They are innovators. They are mentors. And they’re leaders.

Coding is something I’ve wanted to do, since I was a kid obsessed with computers. Earlier this year, I applied for Girls Who Code’s Summer Immersion Program in New York. I promised myself to spend the summer learning programming languages, so my acceptance to the Girls Who Code program at AT&T was beyond exciting.

Time sure flies when you are having fun! It’s hard to believe that we are half way through the 2016 AT&T Aspire Accelerator and already it’s such an incredible experience. From our kick off in San Francisco in May to the ISTE conference in June, the 2016 class is making serious progress growing their organizations to maximize impact and is developing impactful relationships along the way. I can’t wait for our next in-person convening at the GSV Pioneer Summit in September. In the meantime, check out the video below to learn more about our program and the 2016 class.

AT&T joined Give Kids the World Village to host a volunteer day in Orlando.

Old fashioned play and tomorrow’s technology are connected – the most advanced technologies and machinery are often created by literally tinkering with them, taking them apart and putting them back together again. Together, we can raise a new generation of innovators and problem solvers who have the tools they need to build the world they imagine.

We believe that every young person should have a caring adult to turn to. This provides a foundation for students to succeed in all that they do – in school and their future careers. That’s why we’re connecting our employees to students around the world through Aspire Mentoring Academy.
