I am always blown away by our phenomenal Team LIVESTRONG participants. This weekend’s team for the Austin Marathon was no exception. A crew of 31 team members raised $22,000 to support LIVESTRONG‘s programs and services. We are so grateful for all their efforts.

Gone are the days of Moapa Valley residents having to carefully separate out their recyclables and place them into way-too-small plastic red, white and blue bins. Gone are the days of second-guessing on which week is recycling pickup in a confusing every-other-week schedule.

Regional trash disposal company Republic Services is now bringing its Enhanced Recycling Program to the Moapa Valley communities.

CIAL (Aluminum Packaging Consortium), Costa Cruises and the Port Authority of Savona presented, on board the Costa Diadema, “Message in a can”, a promotion and development project for the collection and recycling of aluminum beverage cans, under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea.
