A group of 50 employees from Arrow’s North America components team volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver last month, helping a local Habitat ReStore process and transport a generous donation of patio furniture and other items from the Colorado Convention Center.

GM is committed to using its lands to increase and promote native biodiversity. But it’s the company’s people who bring that commitment to life. In fact, GM employees have spent 2,148 work days dedicated to conservation and education work, as recognized by the Wildlife Habitat Council. This is one way the teams at GM facilities give back to their local communities and help reduce their environmental footprint.

About 150 employees from Qualcomm Technologies – engineers, program and product managers, IT administrators, programmers, a few VPs and our CIO – attended The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC) in Houston last month.

Republic Services, Inc. (NYSE: RSG) announced today that the Washington Secretary of State’s office has recognized the Company with the 2016 National Association of Secretary of State’s Medallion Award for charitable giving. The award was presented to Republic during a special presentation earlier this week.

Sam Gwer is the Executive Director of Afya Research Africa, which operates a network of clinics in Kenya that aim to improve primary care in underserved, rural areas. The organization currently operates 11 clinics in farming and fishing communities, serving 15,000 people.
