Corporate Support of #GivingTuesday Hits Record Levels

One of the founding partners of the #GivingTuesday movement announced record levels of corporate support for the global philanthropy movement. According to CECP: The CEO Force for Good, the number in its overall coalition of the world’s largest companies participating in #GivingTuesday 2016 was 82, the highest participation level seen yet. Begun in 2012, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

UK Students Build a Better Fermentation Process, Win Cargill Innovation in Engineering Award

Students Rachana Halasabele and Alessia Xu from The University of Manchester in the UK recently triumphed with their innovative and practical winning solution to a real-life industry problem set by Cargill’s ethanol experts at their starches and sweeteners plant in Trafford Park, Manchester. The UK-wide competition, open to all Universities, is the first of its kind for Cargill in the UK and awarded the winning second year students with a cash bursary of £1,200.
