In honor of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the National Park Service, National Geographic has launched The Power of Parks, a yearlong initiative utilizing all of the organization's platforms to better explore and understand the world's national parks. The campaign includes dedicated programming on the National Geographic Channels, a major series in National Geographic magazine, and an Explore the Power of Parks web portal featuring the latest magazine stories and photos, travel guides, maps, and educational resources. 21st Century Fox expanded its partnership with the National Geographic Society in 2015 to create National Geographic Partners, bringing together all of National Geographic's media assets, including magazines, book and map publishing, and more.

“We applaud the USDA and HHS for underscoring and reiterating in the 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans that there is no ‘drink of moderation,’ only the practice of moderation,” said Guy L. Smith, Executive Vice President, Diageo North America. “Not only do they reaffirm the definition of what they call ‘a drink-equivalent’ as 0.6 fluid ounces of pure alcohol, but they also provide clear reference examples including 12 ounces of regular beer (5% alcohol), 5 ounces of wine (12% alcohol), or 1.5 ounces of 80-proof distilled spirits (40% alcohol). These examples give Americans an easy to understand way to keep track of how much alcohol they are consuming.
