Success Stories of the Common Vision: The FishWise and Safeway Partnership

They all follow a common theme: several years ago, member organizations relied on the guidance provided in the Alliance Common Vision to work with their partners to write strong time-bound commitments to improve procurement policies and practices. National Grid Responds to Administration's Announcement to Regulate Methane Emissions

National Grid issued a statement today responding to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) recent announcement that it would develop methane regulations for existing oil and gas sources. The EPA intends to begin outreach to states, industry, environmental groups, and other stakeholders in the coming weeks and launch a formal Information Collection Request process in April.

TransCanada to Acquire Columbia Pipeline Group for US$13 Billion

TransCanada Corporation (TSX:TRP) (NYSE:TRP) (TransCanada) today announced it has entered into an agreement and plan of merger pursuant to which it will acquire Columbia Pipeline Group, Inc. (NYSE:CPGX or Columbia), a Houston, Texas-based company that operates an approximate 24,000-kilometre (km) (15,000-mile) network of interstate natural gas pipelines extending from New York to the Gulf of Mexico, with a significant presence in the Appalachia production basin.

Building on its environmental performance leadership and delivering on the pledge it made as part of the White House’s American Business Act on Climate Pledge, BNY Mellon has become carbon neutral for scope 1 and scope 2, as well as scope 3 business travel greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for 2015. It has a strategy in place to continue this commitment and will remain carbon neutral in 2016. Carbon neutrality is reached when an organization’s net GHG emissions are equal to zero.
