From the middle of 2018, the factory will make the lithium ion batteries for all electrified vehicles of Mercedes-Benz and smart, ranging from the plug-in hybrid to the all-electric models. In addition, the Kamenz factory will also produce batteries for the stationary Mercedes-Benz energy storage unit as well as for 48-volt systems.
