Today, we have more options for getting from one place to another than ever before. Innovations abound, but are we making the most of this progress to build a future where all people can move more freely?

Adam Ottavino, pitcher for the Colorado Rockies, recently joined the first Action Team conference call of the 2015-2016 school-year. He spoke about the importance of leadership and community to more than 30 Action Team Captains from high schools across the country. The Greenwood High School Action Team of Bowling Green, Kentucky joined Adam as the featured high school on the call.

Jim Gianopulos, 20th Century Fox Chairman and CEO, along with Academy Award-nominated director David O. Russell, hosted a special screening at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles on October 26 for Demon's Gate, the thesis film from the first class of student fellows at Ghetto Film School LA. The MacArthur Park-based nonprofit teaches filmmaking to young people from traditionally underserved neighborhoods and was co-founded by 21st Century Fox in 2014, bringing the acclaimed Ghetto Film School curriculum to Los Angeles for the first time.

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has made a US$2.2 million grant to Plan Netherlands to help the nonprofit deliver digital, technical and life skills training to more than 6,000 disadvantaged youth in Tanzania and Zambia.

On Tuesday, October 20, FOX Sports was a co-presenting sponsor of the 36th Annual Salute to Women in Sports, an awards gala for the Women's Sports Foundation, which is dedicated to ensuring that girls across the US have access to sports.
