Export Development Canada is Canada’s export credit agency. Their job is to support and develop Canada’s export trade by helping Canadian companies respond to international business opportunities. In 2016, they helped more than 7,150 Canadian companies do business in over 200 countries.

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) announced today a $2 million grant to The Kitchen Community (TKC) to help bring hundreds of innovative, outdoor Learning Garden Classrooms to thousands of students in underserved communities nationwide. The contribution represents the largest corporate donation to the organization.

Natura, YES BANK, DS Smith, Royal DSM, Timberland, Royal Bank of Canada, Accenture, Numi Organic Tea, BASF, Bloomberg, Firmenich, IKEA, Marks & Spencer, GSK, Santader Brasil and Heineken are among the nominees being shortlisted for this year’s The Responsible Business Awards

When it comes to serving her community, Angela Collins speaks about the “magic” – or individual talents – of each person involved. One’s “magic,” she explained, is his or her natural talent, an ordinary thing that he or she does better than most. Angela believes that each person’s skills are magic to everyone else. “So when you figure out what people’s magic is and you put it to use in the community, to build community, to create community, to bring people together, that’s where the magic happens,” Angela said.

There have been more than 1,000 Habitat for Humanity homes built in Charlotte since 1983. Those with solar panels on the roof? Only a handful. But with North Carolina second in the nation for solar power – only behind California – that could be changing.

On July 15, Republic Services’ Philadelphia team partnered with Habit for Humanity’s local chapter @HabitatPhilly on home repairs and #community cleanup in #Sharswood.

In an effort to provide the community with accessible horticulture, Sands Cares and Sands ECO360 recently partnered with Penn State Extension, Lehigh and Northampton County 4-H and the Community Action Development Corporation of Bethlehem to build planting beds for the Lynfield Community Center in Bethlehem, PA.
