Although the focus of Giving Tuesday is fundraising for worthy causes, the key to success – both for companies and the broader landscape – is about developing a passion for service and giving back.

Jonathan Stoltzfus’s summer as a UCSF Amgen Scholar in 2007 confirmed his desire to become a scientist and catalyzed his career. As an early-career scientist in academia, he is now bringing to aspiring scientists the research opportunity he had as an undergraduate.

The Republic Services Northwest Area and Bellevue Division employees teamed up to fill the holiday wishes of several children in need from Kenmore Elementary. More than half of the students who attend Kenmore Elementary are below poverty level and require food assistance and additional resources.

Honda Canada’s “One Honda. One Tree.” campaign began with the modest goal of planting a tree to represent every Honda ATV or piece of lawn and garden equipment sold during a specific period. The purpose of the program is to help counteract forest fragmentation.
