It’s a warm and fuzzy gift. It’s a keepsake collectable. But, most importantly, it’s a way for anyone and everyone to give from their hearts in the crusade against childhood cancer.

Recently, over 100 volunteers from Timberland and its partners from Journeys, KicksUSA and Urban Outfitters, as well as local Philadelphia photo-blogger Conrad Benner of StreetsDept.com, came together to help transform a section of an abandoned railway in Philadelphia into a new city green space, that will open to the public in Spring 2018.

Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful celebrated recycling -- and America Recycles Day -- with a Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting to announce its enhanced electronics recycling trailer. With help from two local sign makers, Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful (KNB) enhanced its electronics recycling trailer with a decorative wrap, creating an education tool in the process.

This year, over 7,300 Shire employees volunteered 29,000 hours and we partnered with over 250 charities in 300 global locations.

Secondary school teachers overwhelmingly believe that employer engagement, careers advice and work experience have a direct impact on improving exam results, research published today has found.

To commemorate its anniversary in October, Xylem, a leading global water technology company dedicated to solving the world’s most challenging water issues, held its second annual Global Month of Service. Embracing the goals of Xylem’s corporate citizenship program, Xylem Watermark, employees around the world came together to provide and protect safe water resources for communities in need and to educate people about water issues. Throughout the month, Xylem employees volunteered more than 7,800 hours by participating in nearly 100 events in 28 countries.

In September, 8 Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) employee volunteers traveled to Pune, India, as part of the HPE Leadership Through Service program. Their mission: to enhance a digital platform that will improve provide educational opportunities to 6 million underprivileged children.

Channel 2 WSB-TV and The Trust for Public Land today named Stephen Causby as Atlanta’s 2017 Cox Conserves Hero. Park Pride, Causby’s nonprofit beneficiary, will receive $10,000. Causby was among the three finalists who were nominated by the public then chosen by local judging panels to compete in an online vote for the title of Atlanta’s Cox Conserves Hero.

With Veteran’s Day just around the corner, we wanted to pause and take a moment to reflect and share our thanks to those who’ve dedicated their lives in service to our great country. We’re proud of the many men and women in the armed forces who’ve fought and continue to fight for freedom.
